Unwind & Create: Intro to Knitting Workshop
Unwind & Create: Intro to Knitting Workshop
Ready to turn a ball of yarn into something beautiful? This beginner-focused workshop is broken down into two manageable sessions to ensure you build a solid foundation without the overwhelm. We’ll skip the complex jargon and focus on the four fundamental pillars of knitting.
Session 1: The Foundation (2 Hours)
Casting On: Learn the essential "foundation" step to get your yarn securely onto the needle.
The Knit Stitch: Master the basic building block of knitting. You'll learn to identify the smooth, V-shaped "braids" this stitch creates.
Session 2: Texture & Finishing (2 Hours)
The Purl Stitch: Learn the "reverse" of the knit stitch, which creates the textured, horizontal bumps essential for ribbing and patterns.
Casting Off: The final "seal" to secure your work so it doesn't unravel when you take it off the needles.
Troubleshooting: How to spot and fix common "new knitter" mistakes.
